PERFECT PITCH: FIVE CHROMA CHORDS by Marylyn Dintenfass is a suite of five color Ultra Violet Etchings on Somerset 500 gram paper in a limited edition of twenty-five signed and numbered prints with eight Artists Proofs, one Printer’s Proof and one Bon à Tirer. PERFECT PITCH: FIVE BLACK KEYS by Marylyn Dintenfass is a suite of five black-and-white Ultra Violet Etchings on Somerset 500 gram paper in a limited edition of fifteen signed and numbered prints with six Artists Proofs, and one Bon à Tirer.

While the process of using Ultra Violet light to create etching plates is not new, it has been newly interpreted and perfected through the collaboration of the artist and Master Printer, Lisa Mackie, over a period of two years. The process is employed here to capture the direct gesture of the artist’s hand and has produced a suite of unusually large and extraordinarily vibrant prints. Dintenfass and Mackie have collaborated as printmakers for twenty years.
Printed between May 2009 and June 2011 at the Lisa Mackie Studios in New York, each print measures 31 ½ inches square and bears the embossed chop of the studio in the lower left corner. The title and colophon pages were printed by Coeur Noir Letterpress Printers in Brooklyn, New York. Dan Weldon exposed the plates with Lisa Mackie at Hampton Editions in Sag Harbor, New York. John Romano of Portfoiliobox in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, fabricated the custom-made embossed portfolio boxes covered in Japanese Tussah cloth

These editions are published as a joint venture of the artist and Driscoll Babcock. Artist Proofs are also available for sale.
